Tamara is a PhD Candidate at the University of Victoria focusing on energy systems integration. She previously worked for Mercedes-Benz and was responsible for increasing flexibility within battery assembly processes for existing and future hybrid and EV-variants. Afterwards, Tamara received a master’s degree from the University of Warwick where she studied the full circular economy of lithium-ion batteries from material reclamation to end-of-life processes. Based on her interest in energy storage systems, her research at the University of Victoria focuses on sector coupling as decarbonization strategy by using low-carbon fuels such as hydrogen and seasonal energy storage.
