- Dr. Rebecca Peer is a lecturer in Civil Systems Engineering in the department of Civil and Natural Resources engineering at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand. She obtained her PhD, focused on the water-energy nexus and assessing the environmental impacts of energy systems, from the University of Southern California in 2019 and completed a postdoc at the Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford focusing on energy system modelling. Rebecca continues to research and model energy systems and their impacts on the environment with interests in system interdependencies, energy system transitions, urban energy use, and the energy trade network.
