Dr. Pinar Temocin completed her doctoral studies at Hiroshima University, researching environmental civil society organizations within the post-Fukushima context. Using her interdisciplinary research background and expertise in environmental governance and energy policies, she researches low-carbon energy transition and decarbonization efforts, interactive state-society relations, and collaborative and inclusive environmental governance. She combines the perspectives of political sociology, energy studies and environmental governance, as well as Science, Technology and Society to analyze and develop recommendations for sustainable environmental and energy policies.
