Mylène Riva is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at McGill University, where she holds a Canada Research Chair in Housing, Community and Health. She leads an applied research program spanning health geography and population health to understand housing conditions as structural determinants of health and as settings for intervention to promote health and well-being in urban, rural, and remote communities. Her current research explores the intersection between housing, energy, and health, with a focus on energy poverty. She is committed to working with communities, organizations, and governments to provide rigorous scientific evidence to inform practice and public policy.
