Dr. Chien-fei Chen (Ph.D. in Sociology)is a Research Associate Professor and the Director of Education and Diversity at the U.S. National Science Foundation-funded Engineering Research Center, CURENT at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK). She is also the Co-director of the Center for the Study of Social Justice at the UTK. Dr. Chen’s research centers on environmental sociology, pro-environmental behavior, renewable energy adoption, and energy justice. Her publications appear in many interdisciplinary journals. Dr. Chen has received research awards from U.S. National Science Foundation and Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. In 2019, Dr. Chen received the U.S. Fulbright Global Scholar Award.
