Bavisha began her PhD program in Geography Department at McGill university in the fall of 2024 after completing her MA in Geography. Her doctoral research focuses on examining the different approaches to measuring energy poverty in Canada as well as investigating the impacts of energy poverty among older Canadians using quantitative and qualitative methods. Her research interests include housing as a social determinant of health, energy poverty and vulnerability, and the role of the built and social environments in healthy aging.
