My research looks to new and inclusive business models in the renewable energy industry, and the policy frameworks that are required to incentivise innovation for sustainability, with a particular interest in local community action. My published work has largely focussed on the assessment of the risks, costs and local impacts of community energy projects, as well as comparative energy governance for distributed generation and community energy. I have coordinated numerous events under the banner of social and organisational learning for the greening of both public and private enterprises, and worked on a number of applied social innovation projects at the interface between people, energy and IT.
