Originally from Italy, I am a sociocultural anthropologist specialized in sustainability, energy transition and energy justice. My research projects focused in the past on investigating how human-environment relationships change as the landscape gets modified due to fossil fuel extraction. Following these interests, I am currently conducting multi-sited ethnographic research in Canada and New Zealand examining the displacement of workers and the changes in communities’ identity as energy transition processes and projects occur. In the future, I look to continue examining energy transitions and how to improve policies and regulations to guarantee a shift to cleaner and just forms of energy.
