After 10 years in the international development sector, mainly on applied research programs related to climate change, I am now looking to deepen understanding of development projects’ autonomy through a PhD at Grenoble-Alps University and Schneider Electric. My thesis questions the current models of socio-technical autonomy of decentralized energy solutions: I study how solar energy solutions, considered as autonomous, maintain relationships with their environment, through complex and evolving socio-technical and economic networks.
