Dr Foley, Editor in Chief of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews is a Reader at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in Queen’s University Belfast. She has published more than 50 peer reviewed journal articles and has a h-index of 23 (Scopus), 20 (Web of Science) and 26 (Google Scholar). She has a BE(Hons) (Civil & Environmental Engineering) and a PhD (Energy Engineering) from University College Cork and an MSc (Transportation Engineering) from Trinity College Dublin. Dr Foley returned to full-time academia in 2009 after 12 years in industry, since then she has accessed more than €3 million in research. Her research focuses on renewable energy integration, techno-economic energy systems modelling and the UN Sustainable Development Goals considering social equity, the environment, and emissions.
