Sara Bentoumia Parkison is a Senior Energy Policy Analyst and PhD Candidate. She is driven by the need to design policy solutions and program initiatives to move away from a fossil fuel based economy effectively, efficiently, and equitably, to combat climate change. Her research focuses on sociotechnical themes and policy initiatives that address the coordination issues created by a transitioning grid. Specifically, how to integrate higher generation of renewable energy through the deployment of distributed energy resources in the form of innovative storage technologies such as vehicle-to-grid. Sara is currently conducting research for her PhD dissertation on multi-scalar sociotechnical energy transitions at the University of Delaware. She received her BA in Political Science and Public Policy at St. Mary’s Public Honors College of Maryland.
