Maryam is currently a post-doctoral researcher in Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Alberta. She has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Engineering Management specialisation) from University of Alberta. Her multi-disciplinary research is about techno-economic and life cycle assessments of various energy systems with a focus on production of biofuels and biochemicals. She has contributed to the publication of more than fifteen peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapter and industrial/governmental reports. She has also presented the results of her research at several national and international conferences. During her PhD, she has been the recipient of several awards, scholarships and grants.
