Julia T Rivera P is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ryerson's Centre of Urban Energy, and is also in charge of the operation of the Schneider Electric Smart Grid Laboratory. In addition, she is conducting research in unit commitment. My areas of interest are power system optimization, electric power transmission systems, transient analysis, and state estimation. I received PhD and master’s degrees in transmission system estimation and transient analysis from the São Paulo State University in Brazil and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. I have authored several papers of transmission line modelling and transient analysis and has supervised several bachelor thesis in these areas.
