I am Mi’kmaq from Sipekne’katik First Nation in Nova Scotia. I have a Master of Resource and Environmental Management degree (2010) and a PhD from Dalhousie University. My research focuses on environmental health using quantitative, qualitative, and Indigenous methodologies to explore and foster an understanding of the unique aspects of Indigenous health, specifically as it is impacted by resource or industrial development.
