Dr. Destenie Nock leads the Energy, Equity, and Sustainability Group at Carnegie Mellon University. Their research focuses on renewable energy planning, energy policy, food distribution systems, and engineering for social good. Specifically, she asks questions like how can we use modeling tools to improve social welfare and our understanding of society. Currently Dr. Nock is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering & Public Policy (EPP) and Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) departments at Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
