Dr. Angeline Letourneau is the Hennebach Assistant Professor in Energy Transition and Society at the Colorado School of Mines. Dr. Letourneau’s work examines the affective influence of identities in the environmental and climate crisis and the contribution of these identity processes to widening political polarization. Her research is inspired by the possibility of synergies despite differences. Her current project explores how the political framing of the just transition movement to decarbonize global economies intervenes in culturally specific understandings of gendered identities. Dr. Letourneau’s prior experience in industry and the non-profit landscape informs her attention to purposeful intervention and actionable outputs.
